Basil Pesto Spaghetti

This is one of my favorites! A lot of flavor, not a lot of cash...

12 oz spaghetti ($1.59/32oz box Aldi)
3 Tbl dried basil
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1/3 cup canola oil
parmesan cheese
optional: cooked cubed chicken, mushrooms, pine nuts

  • Boil spaghetti, drain, place in serving bowl
  • Blend basil, garlic, salt, pepper, and oil
  • Toss the pasta with pesto. Add chicken or mushrooms if desired. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
