3 Tbl butter, margarine, or oil
5-6 potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
1 1/2 tsp salt (more or less to taste)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs (I used crumbled corn flakes)
- Preheat oven to 425*. In 12x8 baking dish, melt butter.
- Remove from oven.
- Add potatoes and salt. Toss together and arrange potatoes in an even layer.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes until potatoes are tender.
